Road rage shooting in Kent village

Man in hospital with serious injuries after incident in Alkham village, near Dover.

A 31-year-old man is in hospital with serious injuries after being shot in a 'road rage' attack in Alkham, near Dover, Kent, yesterday evening (26th October). The man is being treated in the William Harvey hospital following the incident which occurred on Alkham Valley Road, in Alkham, just after 10pm.

Police believe two motorists were involved in an altercation on Alkham Valley Road, which resulted in the man's injuries. He was taken to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford where he is said to be in a stable condition.

His attacker is thought to have been travelling alone in a light-coloured vehicle, and drove off towards Dover.

A Police spokesperson said the 31-year-old man "sustained serious injuries" in the incident and are appealing for information.

Part of Alkham Valley Road, about five miles west of Dover, was closed following the incident and only reopened this afternoon.
