Police in Ashford are appealing for information after a 25-year-old woman was accosted in Beaver Road on Wednesday. Offices have released a computer-generated image of the man involved and are asking anyone who recognises him to contact them.
The incident took place at about 7.45pm on Wednesday 21st October when the local woman was walking along Beaver Road towards Godfrey Walk. As she did so a man approached her, grabbed her hand and started to talk to her. She became scared and told the man to let go of her.
The woman broke free and ran to a nearby fast food restaurant, but the man followed her in a car. She waited at the restaurant until the car left then went to a relative who reported the incident to the police.
The woman was not harmed, but feared she was going to be assaulted.
Police say the offender is described as black, 6ft tall, of medium build, with shaven black hair. He was wearing a mid length jacket and trousers and spoke with a London accent. He was travelling in a pale-green-coloured BMW.
Call Kent Police on 01303 289180 or Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 1111 if know the man.
