A woman in her late twenties has died after being stabbed in New Romney. Police were called to the stabbing incident in Hardy Road, Greatstone, New Romney, Kent just after 10.00 am this morning.

Ambulance staff treated the 28-year-old woman - reported to be Karren Martin - but she died later at the scene.

A Police spokesperson said local man in his 40s has been arrested in connection with incident, is now in custody and officers are carrying out forensic examinations at the property.
