A local motorcyclist has died in a collision on the A259 yesterday (9th November 2009) afternoon. The crash between a car and motorbike took place near to the Marlie Farm Holiday Village, on the A259 Romney Marsh, Kent, just after 2pm.

A Police spokesperson said the driver of the Honda motorbike, who died at the scene, was a 72-year-old local man. The driver of the car was not injured.

Police closed Taylor’s Lane, Dymchurch Road, Jefferstone Lane and St Mary’s Road after the crash with traffic diverted away by patrols. The A259 remained shut until 9.46pm last night.
