A 15-year-old girl has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in New Romney, Romney Marsh, Kent. Ambulance crews and Police attended the accident which occurred opposite Sainsbury's early on Wednesday evening.
A Police spokesperson said the teenager stepped out into the road and was hit by a car. She was treated for minor injuries and taken the William Harvey Hospital as a precautionary measure.
Wednesday's accident just up from the Station Road junction, near the Ship Inn, is the latest in a string of accidents on New Romney High Street. In April, a 14-year-old girl was injured and in February 2007 an 11-year-old boy was knocked down and killed.
