A woman has died after being stabbed in Greatstone, New Romney, this morning – Friday 20th November 2009. A 28-year-old woman was treated for stab wounds by ambulance staff at the scene in Hardy Road but was later pronounced dead.

Police were called at 10am and say a local man in his 40s has been arrested in connection with the incident and is now in custody.

Forensic examinations are underway.
